One week with a Nokia 3310 2017 as mobile phone

I tryed the new Nokia 3310 during one week. I will share my experience in this article.

The Nokia 3310 2017 cames out in the french market in june 2017 and it cost 69 euros.




The Phone

The Nokia 3310 2017  doesn’t match up to today’s high-tech smartphones but it does have that famous battery life - mainly thanks to it leaving out all the features that drain power like Wi-Fi, 4G and a touchscreen.

The phone is not very customized, you can choose a walpaper and it's basically the only thing that you can change on the Nokia 3310 2017.



Strenght

The New 3310 is famous by his solidity. The new one looks like more cheap and more lightweitgh than the old one and so more fragile. I ve not tryed a drop test but the 3310 resist perfectly if you use it with precaution.

The Nokia 3310 is not very beautiful but it is matting with a correct design and it's a very strong mobile.



The screen
The Nokia 3310 have a 256 colors QVGA screen of 2,4 inches. It is not a "infinity" screen or "Retina" , it is a basic screen. Moreover, the screen is disposed quite far from the glass. During the first days I had the impression that I forgot to take out the protective film. Of course, it's not a touchscreen and you may take time to adjust to it.



Camera





I prefer to don’t talk about it...but I will. If you like to take picture, don’t do it with the 3310. The quality of the picture that you will take will give you some nightmare.



Internet

The internet system of the 3310 will remind me the WAP system. Do you remember it ? Slow, ugly and not functional. But you still go on the internet and check all your email or social media account (FB, Twitter etc.). It was a bit complicated for me to come back to this old system after few years on a smartphone, but the internet system is really better than in the past and you can do every research that you want...if you are patient.



Text message

For me, SMS are a bit more complicated than with a Smartphone obviously. The system is still the basic system that we had in the past model of the 3310. With 12 alphabetics keys like in the past, it is quite complicated to deal with this old system because you will need more time to write your SMS.

Music

The 3310 permit you to listen music at the MP3 format. You can also listen music with Bluetooth system, the Nokia 3310 allows you to listen your music on a Bluetooth speaker or in your car.

Also, you can listen the radio. For listen radio, you need to have an headphone, like with the old phone, that will make the connection with the FM radio.

Snake

The famous game of the 3310 is back ! With a new design but the same gameplay, this game is still the best time-killer of the 3310. What a pleasure it was for me to rediscover this legendary game.

Other

There is also some classical apps that are present. The main important are the alarm, the calculator and even a flashlight ! The system of alarm is even better than in every smartphone because your phone will ring even if your battery is empty, what a luck ! I find that really crazy that a 3310 can do something than even the best smartphone of the world can’t.
